I’ve been a bad, bad website owner! But I’ve been a busy writer. I’m thrilled to share that I just submitted Her Wicked Ways to my agent and now I’m hard at work on book two of the trilogy, Their Wicked Bargain. Check out the Bookshelf page for the newly posted teaser. And once you’re there, you get a bonus because the teaser for book three, His Wicked Heart is also up!
What else is new? In addition to working on Their Wicked Bargain, I’m trying to jazz up this site, so stay tuned for that. I’m also gearing up for the RWA® National Conference at the end of the month. I’d love to see as many of you as possible, so give me a shout if you’ll be there!

Posting before the end of the month because I have such great news to share…Glorious is a Golden Heart® Finalist in the Regency Historical Category! I am so thrilled to be attending the RWA® National Conference this summer in San Francisco. Please visit me over at the Manuscript Mavens and let me know if you’ll be there!
In other news, the Manuscript Mavens have been selected to present our Storyboarding Workshop at the Emerald City Conference in Seattle this October. Hope to see you there!
March 2008
Sorry to have skipped February, but I have a good excuse! I have an agent! I am excited to announce that Barbara Collins Rosenberg of The Rosenberg Group is representing Glorious! I met Barbara at the Moonlight and Magnolias Conference in Atlanta in September and am thrilled to be working with her. I really connected with her at our first meeting at my pitch appointment and couldn’t be happier that she loves Glorious as much as I do! (Yes, I need more exclamation points!)
I also finished the first draft of Her Wicked Ways. The End really are the best two words a writer can type! I’m so pleased with how the story turned out. Stay tuned for hopefully more exciting news in the months to come! And be sure to visit me each Wednesday over at the Manuscript Mavens!
January 2008
It’s been awhile since I updated! To catch you up, Glorious won second place in the Maggie contest at the end of September. The Moonlight and Magnolias Conference was so much fun! I’d love to go back this year. I also attended the Emerald City Conference in Seattle at the end of October. Because it’s so close, I’ll definitely be back this fall!
On January 20, I presented my first writing-related workshop at the Rose City Romance Writer’s winter retreat. My critique partners/fellow Manuscript Mavens Lacey Kaye and Erica Ridley and I shared our storyboarding techniques. Attendees left with a ton of excitement to apply what they’d learned to their WIPs so I’d say it was a successful morning!
I’m nearly halfway through Her Wicked Ways. I’ve decided to “unlink” this book from Glorious because it was becoming increasingly problematic to write two books that happen concurrently. Holy overlapping plot threads, Batman! Very little will change actually and the story is still very tight. I’m having so much fun writing an anti-heroine. Be sure to check out the Bookshelf page for the new blurb and then keep going to read the newly posted excerpt.
Please drop me a note anytime or visit me over at the Manuscript Mavens where I blog every Wednesday.

More exciting contest news! I learned last night that Glorious took first place in the spicy category of Ohio Valley RWA’s Summer Sizzle contest! The entry is a very sexy, emotional love scene. I’m so thrilled! My CP, Jackie Barbosa, also took first place, but in the sexy category with her erotic novella, Carnally Ever After, which is currently available at Cobblestone Press. Go buy it!

I’m excited to share that Glorious is a finalist in the historical category of the Maggie contest sponsored by Georgia Romance Writers! I’ll be attending their Moonlight and Magnolias Conference at the end of September where they award the Maggies, even though it’s Mr. Burke’s birthday. He encouraged me (whole-heartedly) to go. Yes, he’s one in a million. I will be attending with my pal India Carolina, whose Twist of Fate finaled in the Single Title category. Go India!

Just back from my first RWA National Conference! Very tired and very motivated. I met so many wonderful people and a cockroach as big as Texas! (On my foot, no less. I live in Oregon, a roach-free zone.) I learned, I pitched, I talked myself hoarse. Can’t wait to do it again next year! Now, to get those requests out!

Today is the Spectacular Launch Party Jamboree over at Manuscript Mavens where I am group blogging with my fantabulous critique partners, Lacey Kaye, Erica Ridley, and Jacqueline Barbour. We’re having a contest, so hustle on over!
